I’m a single, Christian, mom. My two daughters – Raine & Athena – came to me as foster children in the spring of 2011. September 2012 we became an official family through adoption. Currently, our family includes a 9yr old girl who arrived in May 2015. Since she is a foster child, we don’t know what the future holds. But for now, we’re very happy to have “J” with us.
June 2008 I began fostering for a private treatment agency – that means Children’s Aid contracts us to care for children who are particularly challenging.
This is a chance for me to share the joys, challenges, and comedy of living a wonderfully unusual life.

Your story is fascinating, you and your family are truly amazing. Also your blog is so well written, I was reading like a good novel.
Thank you for taking the time to read. So glad you’re enjoying the blog!
A mutual friend of ours pointed me to your blog. I have just started fostering and I too and doing it on my own. It is very encouraging reading and hearing all about what you do. It gives me courage to keep going and to trust in the path God is leading me down.
Becca, I’m so happy to hear you’re fostering! I’d love to hear more about your story if you want to connect via Facebook or email: Bobbie.howden@gmail.com
